Decompression Procedures
This course examines
the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving and may be taken by itself or in conjunction with Advanced Nitrox or Advanced Wreck courses.
What will
I do?
The objective of this
course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression
dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 150fsw/45msw unless taught in conjunction
with advanced nitrox, Extended Range or Advanced Wreck Courses.
The most common equipment
requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression
mixtures (including oxygen and nitrox) are presented.
What do I
need to start?
- Minimum age, 21 years old
- Must be Advanced Certified or Higher
Required Equipment?
- Thermal protection adequate for the planned dives.
- BCD or Harness and Wings with adequate lift for the planned dives
- Regulator matched to the needs of the planned dives
- Lift bag with at least 50lbs of lift
- Dive Reel with a minimum 140 ft of line
- Double Tanks (twins) with isolation manifold(dive dependant)
- Stage bottles(dive dependant)
How
long will it take?
- Classroom, Approx 6 to 8 hours
- OW training dives, 4 Dives
(If Advanced Nitrox is taken with this course, 6 dives)

taken with adv nitrox $295.00)

- February 28th, 6pm - 10pm (part 1 classroom)
